Wow! This is a fantastic post. I was not aware of these many facts mentioned, I am just aware of the legendary Nusrat Fateh Ali Khan and Rahat Fateh Ali Khan because of my inclination towards music. Truly, happy to know. Whenever me and my younger sis quarrelled, we used to settle silently on a swing and sing ” Dil ke armaan aansuo mein behgaye.”
I used to stress on a particular line ” shaayad unka aakhri ho..yeh sitam….har sitam yeh sochkar..”
    Thanks for the refreshed memories.
    Stay Sweet! 🙂

  2. Hmm..so finally we get to hear and read something good about Pakistan. Actually every nation has some wonderful history or culture, but its the portrayal in these modern times of development and difficulties which completely changes the perception. We Indians can easily understand the music connection with such a large number of Pakistani singers contributing to Bollywood. Till now we heard of how indian drams are popular in Pakistan. With Zindagi, now we get to see even the Pakistani dramas. 🙂

Exactly ! Looking carefully we realise that every nation has lots of incredible associations with it. With good comes evil too. It’s our vision. What we want to focus on? Evil is not defined by a country’s border, the evil is in people. People irrespective of their location on globe. Likewise, Terrorism should not be subjected to one religion ,it’s the evil of one’s mind. What is a country? A geographical distinction only. After all we are all from the same race. The race of HUMANITY 🙂
